Raskob Learning Institute and Day School is a non-profit organization that serves the Bay Area community by providing services for students and adults with learning differences. The Institute is comprised of three Programs: the Day School, the Clinic and the Diagnostic Program.
Raskob Day School is a Comprehensive Academic Program that serves bright students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, grades 3-8. The Clinic provides 1:1 Educational Therapy, and the Diagnostic Assessment program offers comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for students age 6 through adulthood.
The Raskob Institute enrolls between 80-90 students in grades 3rd – 8th.
The Raskob Institute boasts a 6:1 student teacher ratio; Class size is always less than 12.
Although elementary classes are self-contained, students are placed in ability based groups for core academics; our middle school is differentiated programmatically across all core classes by ability.
Our families live in 24 different cities across the Bay Area including Alameda, Oakland, Clayton, Berkeley, Castro Valley, Danville, Pleasanton, Martinez, Concord, Piedmont, and more.
The School day a t the Raskob Institute is 8:30 a.m. – 3:10 p.m., Monday-Friday, not including Wednesday when we have early dismissal at 2:15 p.m.
Care is available as early as 8:00 a.m. and in the After School Program until 5:30 p.m. M-Th, and then 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
All Raskob students have Physical Education every day, Art once a week, and Music once a week. We offer a variety of extracurricular activities in our after school program other enrichment classes are available in our After School Program.
Raskob is located in the scenic Oakland hills on the campus of Holy Named University. Our campus is surrounded by eucalyptus trees and boasts gorgeous views of the Bay Area.
Raskob is a division of Holy Names University. We are an independent, non-sectarian, State Certified as an NPS (non-public school), and are also W.A.S.C. accredited.
